Worship The Ground You Walk On novel Chapter 92

Hanna approached Claudia and held her hand, feeling that her body temperature was abnormally high, “Your hand is so hot!”

She put her hand on Claudia’s forehead immediately and said, “You have a fever, Claudia!”

In fact, Claudia had been having a fever these days. Though she only had a slight fever, the fever had never been reduced.

And the biopsy she just had made her even feel worse. She could no longer pretend she was all right and looked haggard.

But in front of Hanna, she just shook her head slightly, trying to tell her she was fine.

“You can’t just shrug off it! How long have you been running a fever? Is it caused by catching a cold or something else? Have you seen a doctor or taken any treatment?”

Hanna was worried about her, and from her expression, you could tell she was not acting.

Claudia stared at her. Her genuine look and constant chatter reminded her of Kim.

“Come on, let me take you to a doctor. You can’t just keep having a fever like this!” Hanna held her and brought her upstairs.

After taking a few steps, she suddenly remembered that she left Ben behind.

So she turned around and talked to him, “Ben, I need to go with Claudia. If you are busy, you can go back to the company.”

Ben stared at Hanna with his dark eyes and frowned.

After a while, he said to Hanna faintly, “What about you?”

His words hurt Claudia so much.

Her husband was caring about another woman in front of her!

How ridiculous!

“I’m fine. Look at me. Do I look like a sick person? You are just making a fuss!” Hanna smiled and pacified him. Then, she went into the elevator with Claudia.

There were a lot of people in the hospital, and it was going to take a lot of time to wait for their turn. So she sat down on the chair with Hanna and asked her in sign language, “What is ailing you, Hanna?”

Hanna shook her head and said, “I’m fine. I just haven’t been sleeping for some days and feel dizzy since something occurred to my company.”

She was fine but still was taken to the hospital by Ben.

Such a consideration from Ben was something she was always hoping for but never dare ask for.

Hanna suddenly realized something and explained to her hurriedly, “Claudia, please don’t misunderstand Ben. It's not his fault but my fault. I was too panicked at that time and called him without consideration, and he helps me only because I’m his friend.”

Her explanation only made Claudia feel worse.

It didn’t comfort her but made her feel hurt like getting scratched by a knife.

“And that’s why he took me to the hospital. He saw me and felt I was haggard and then he brought me here. It only relates to the friendship.”

She was talking naturally and gracefully with a pair of clear eyes. Even Claudia thought Hanna was much purer than her.

She hoped she misunderstood Ben. But how was that possible?

In other words, did Ben ever try to make her feel she misunderstood him?

The only thing she could do was to endure the bitterness and shake her head, and then forced herself to smile, “Sure, I know.”

“We are really just friends. When I get all the things done, I won’t contact him anymore!” Hanna promised.

Claudia smiled wryly.

Then, she took some check-ups, got the medicine, and went home for an intravenous injection.

Hanna was still worrying about her and insisted to accompany her on her way home, but Claudia didn’t want to bother her and persuaded her that she could do it by herself. In the end, she sat alone in the empty living room and stared blankly at a distance.

Hanna was such a perfect girl. She was pure, kind, and considerable.

If she hadn’t been married to Ben, Hanna would have been a best friend!

But right now, she only felt embarrassed.

Dr. Lincon came to give her an intravenous injection and left.

It was pretty lonely for her to stay in a big mansion alone, so she sent a message to Kim and asked her to here.

An hour later, Kim showed up with a packed dinner for two. So they sat down and had a meal together.

“So, Ben did something disloyal to you, right? Is he hanging out with Hanna now?” Kim asked.

Claudia was blanked for a while and didn’t answer.

“I hear that you went to France with him and that when he knew Hanna was in trouble, he came back and went to the police office immediately like he didn’t even try to hide that he was still getting in touch with his ex-girlfriend.”

Kim spoke up for Claudia angrily.

Then, she even felt angrier and put down the plate, staring at Claudia excitedly, “Stop eating! Why are you still in the mood for dinner? Your husband is going to be hers!”

Claudia glanced at her and put a piece of steak into her mouth.

“Oh my god! What a generous man!” Kim sighed and went to take a box of juice from the fridge.

She was not kind of generous, but what else she could do except have a meal and get recovered?

Telling him she was jealous? Venting her anger? Would Ben give her the chance to do so?

“Just like I’ve said, you need to keep an eye on Hanna. This ex-girlfriend was more difficult to handle than other mistresses.” Kim brought two boxes of juice back and gave one to Claudia.

“Don’t you know that exs are unforgettable for man? Even though they have broken up, they still miss each other; even though they can’t get back together, they are still in contact. Besides, Ben is a wonderful man. Who will let go of him so easily?”

Then, Kim scanned Claudia up and down. Well, tender and delicate, she was a typical homegirl who could easily arouse the protective desire of men.

Her appearance was absolutely gorgeous, and it would be perfect if she could talk.

“You need to learn how to wear make-up! Be sexy and coquettish, because men always follow their sex drive. Once you have slept with him many times, you don’t need to worry about how to maintain a good relationship with him anymore,” Kim was trying to help, but maybe it sounded like a little bit bullshit.

Claudia was stunned by her ridiculous ideas and put down the plate.

Then, she looked at Kim and said in gestures, “Stop bullshitting, Kim. I’m not calling you here for this. In fact, I wonder if you can do me a favor.”

“What?” Kim was interested.

Claudia passed her a USB flash drive, “It’s simple. Just help me spread this stuff online. The more people see these, the better it is.”
