Worship The Ground You Walk On novel Chapter 94

She received an edited video for about ten minutes long.

When she opened the file, she was completely shocked.

In the video, Ann was controlled by two men wearing a mask and hat in a sickroom and was beaten hard by another man.

Soon, she was badly battered and couldn’t stand straight, but the two men just yanked her to her feet and scratched her arms with a small knife.

Her blood slowly ran down from the cuts in her arms, which was so painful for Claudia to see.

And that was the end of the video.

Claudia was stunned and distressed. She even hoped that she was the one who got tortured in the video.

Suddenly, she heard the doorbell rang and the steward came to tell her, “Mrs. Claudia, Miss Evans is here.”

Amber Evans.

She was the one who sent the video to her.

Even if she hadn’t come here, Claudia would have come to find her by herself!

Claudia left the child to steward and went downstairs hurriedly.

The nanny was shopping outside, and the steward was taking care of Conrad upstairs. Nobody was on the first floor, except the two of them.

Amber was wearing a tight skirt that could show her curvy figure. She walked to Claudia with clip-clop sounds made by her high heels and stared at her in contempt.

“My dear sister, I just haven’t seen you for a few days and now you think you can put me under control?”

Her smile was as bright as it could be, but her eyes were full of viciousness.

“You even start to scheme against me now! But I just don’t understand why you have to do this to me. What good has it done you? We are of the same family! We have a shared future! Don’t you understand?”

Amber stared at her angrily like a wolf staring at its prey.

“You don’t treat me as your family member, I’m fine with that. But now you are stabbing at my back! What makes you think that you can fight against me?”

Once she finished her words, she raised her arm, but before she could slap on Claudia, her arm was grasped by Claudia.

She didn’t expect her resistance.

Amber tried to squirm free but failed, which made her much angrier, “Let me go, Claudia! Or you can prepare an urn for your crazy mother!”

Claudia was staring at her with anger burning in her eyes, but still released her.

Once her arm was free, Amber raised her hand quickly and slapped Claudia’s face.

She used so much strength on the slap that she could feel pain on her hand, let alone Claudia’s face.

While Claudia’s face was bruised and cracked with blood leaking out from it.

But Amber wasn’t satisfied. She grabbed Claudia’s hair and pulled it heavily.

“You think you are better than me? You cunt!”

She took out a knife from her pocket, with was small but sharp.

“Look, this is the knife that was used to scratch Ann. Do you know for how many scratches she can have in an arm?”

She put the knife on Claudia’s face and laughed, like a devil coming from hell.

“I’ve heard a way to execute the criminal. The executor would keep cutting the criminal with a small knife but also keep him alive. Eventually, the criminal’s flesh would be shredded into pieces while he had to endure all the pains until he was allowed to die…”

Amber used the tip of knife to draw a circle on Claudia’s face. She didn’t use much strength so the knife wouldn’t hurt her skin, though, it was pretty scary.

“Maybe, it is a good idea to let Ann die in this way, right?”

Claudia opened her eyes widely with astonishment and anger in her eyes.

“How dare you look at me like this! Do you think you can defeat me just by spreading some scandals, Claudia? Don’t forget that we still have your mother! If you want her to die earlier, just go ahead and do whatever you want. I can play with you all day long.”

Amber threw her down on the ground and walked away.

Looking at her silhouette, Claudia clenched her fists.

You could play with me all day long, huh?

All right, I got a lot of time anyway.

She took out her phone and sent a message to Kim, “Go on like this.”

After a minute, she received her reply, “Aye aye!”

Claudia looked at the phone and was lost in thought. Ann was still suffering, but her plan had already begun and there was no way to turn back anymore.

When she was still reflecting, the door was opened once again. Having been absent for many days, Ben was finally home.

He strode to the living room with his cold eyes and indifferent expression.

Claudia was standing still and forgot what she was going to do. She even got scared by him when she heard his voice appear by her said.

“What happened to your face?”

Then, he held her jaw and gazed at the bruise on her face for a while.

“Who slapped your face?”

She lowered her head and didn’t know how to explain it.

Receiving no answer from her, he withdrew his hand and called the steward.

“Did someone just visit Claudia here?” he questioned the steward coldly and gloomily.

The steward didn’t know what just happened and said worriedly, “Miss Evans was here no long ago.”

Then, Ben gave him a look, and the steward moved to the kitchen immediately.

“What was she doing here?” the tall figure approached her.

She puckered up her lips and shook her head, trying to tell him it was not a big deal.

However, her weakness irritated him. He grabbed her wrist heavily and said, “Don’t you know how to fight back?”

But soon, he felt something wrong.

Ben put his hand on her forehead and found it was abnormally hot.

His dark eyes quivered out of shock, “Are you still having a fever?”

She had a bad cold in France when she was walking in the rain for his medicine, he remembered.

But after so many days, she was still having a fever!

Claudia lowered her head and didn’t know how to explain.

Suddenly, Ben scooped her up in his arms and carried her upstairs.

In the bedroom, Claudia was thrown on the bed. She saw Ben was moving his face to her and kissed her tender lips.

“Maybe we could do something better for you to sweat,” he said in a low voice.

Claudia frowned in surprise, but when she became worried, soon she was teased by his fingers and could only feel joy in her brain…
