You're The Best Medicine For Me novel Chapter 105

After Bryan got into the car with the two children, he didn’t immediately drive away. He accompanied the two children in the back seat, his gaze focused on both children.

Jacob Thomas was very sensitive. When he saw how Bryan was staring at him, he knew what he was thinking.

Jacob deliberately turned his face towards the window.

Bryan shook his head helplessly and looked at Emma Thomas. He rested his palm on his daughter’s head and stroking it gently.

“Emma, please tell daddy how you were bullied at school,” Bryan asked.

Jacob quickly turned his head to look at him.

And Emma turned her head to stare at Jacob.

“Brother won’t let me talk about it.”

He could see that Jacob didn’t want Emma to ever mention this matter again. But he forgot that he was still a child himself.

“You both are strong and well-behaved in front of mummy, and I’m happy for that and your mummy. But in front of your daddy, you can always be a 3-year-old child.”

Jacob’s eyes once again reddened when he heard this. But he was still holding it back.

He clenched his hands secretly and remained silent.

However, Emma pressed her lips, wanting to cry, “Daddy, it’s that true? We can always rely on daddy?”

“Yes, I am your father. You can trust me.” Bryan reached out and hugged Emma onto his lap. He gently wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes, “Tell daddy what you guys have been holding back?”

Emma flung herself into Bryan’s arms, clutching his clothes tightly with both hands, and started wailing.

“Daddy, I don’t like going to kindergarten. But brother said that if we don’t go to kindergarten, mummy will have to worry about both of us. And we can’t let mummy see us as a burden. So even I dislike it a lot, I must go to kindergarten. But I really don’t like it.” the child was sniveling so much; she was having a hard time breathing properly. Also, her whole body was trembling as well.

Because they were single-parent children, both had tacitly agreed not to inform Shirley whenever there was a parent-child activity.

And all the children in their class felt that both were unfavoured by their parents and snatched things from them from time to time.

Emma said incoherently, “Jacob said that mummy was working very hard, so we have to be well behaved and not make mummy too tired. Otherwise, mummy’s heart will hurt, and she might die from it one day.”

The more Emma spoke, the more she cried. She became more aggrieved and uncomfortable.

She flung herself into Bryan’s arm in fear. Her hands were clinging to Bryan’s neck, a handful of snot and tears fell onto his black shirt.

Bryan hugged Emma tightly in distress. The feeling of desperation was like his heart was torn apart. The pain was unbearable.

“Cry as much as you want, dear. Daddy’s here. If there’s anything, you couldn’t tell mummy, just come and tell me. Daddy will protect you from now on. And no one will dare to bully you again.” Bryan looked up at Jacob and saw him sitting in the corner, shrugging his shoulders and keeping his face to the car window.

Bryan’s heart constricted as he freed a hand to clasp Jacob’s shoulder and turned him around.

He had already burst into tears.

Bryan’s heart sank, and immediately picked him up as well and placed him on his other lap, cradling him into his arms.

“You little dumdum, if you’re feeling distressed, just cry, don’t hold it back.” When Bryan said this, Jacob, who had been holding back, finally let loose and cried in an instant.

His tiny body cuddled into Bryan’s arms, crying as his whole body trembled.

He was not afraid of anything, but he was scared that he would hear that her mother died one day.

Knowing that Shirley was not well, he tried to not cause trouble to his mum at school. He never hit anyone at school so that the teacher wouldn’t call his parents over.

He knew that his mischievous acts would make Shirley worried.

He didn’t want his mum to worry about him too much.

And now there was someone who told him that no one would dare to bully him anymore. And the words were like a powerful force that destroyed the fortress inside him.

Bryan hugged both of them tightly until their sobs subsided and their emotions eased before he asked, “Still not willing to tell daddy about it?”

Jacob looked up, clenched his tiny fist to wipe the tears off his face, and said, “I will tell you, daddy, but you can’t tell mummy.”

“I won’t.”

“Actually, it’s really nothing much. Some students at school like to snatch sister Emma’s stuff. So, I break their stuff. They don’t dare to confront me because I will fight back and hurt them. So, they sneak up on me, some students will also take those toy molds and hit me on the head. It hurts really bad. Luckily I didn’t get beaten into a moron.”

Jacob raised his hand and touched his head.

Seeing this gesture, Bryan asked heartily, “When did this happen?”

“In America, but I’m back in China now. And classmates here are quite friendly. They’ll play with my sister and me, except for Ruben.” Jacob glanced at Peppa pig in Emma’s arms and reached for it, “If Ruben wanted this, he would just snatch it from her. He really doesn’t have any gentleman demeanor.”

“How is it?”

“He hits girls. He hit Emma’s face and pulled her hair.” Only then did Jacob remember that Emma had just been slapped by Ruben

He hurriedly reached out and lifted the left side of Emma’s loose hair. Sure enough, he saw claw and scratch marks on Emma’s neck and ear.

“Oh no, I can’t believe he left markings. Mummy’s going to ask what happened when we get back,” Jacob muttered heartily.

Bryan lifted Emma’s hair and also saw the claw and scratch marks on the back of Emma’s ear and neck.

Moreover, the left side of Emma’s face was redder and more swollen than the right side.

That kid who hit her was ruthless.

Damn.

He hugged both of them tightly and said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of this.”

“Daddy, you promise you won’t tell mummy.” Emma turned her head and pouted.

Bryan nodded and said, “Don’t you worry, I won’t say a word. Daddy will take you to the office to play. And when it’s mealtime, Daddy will take you out for lunch, okay?”

Both of them nodded at the same time.

Bryan put them both back on their child safety seats, buckled the seat belts on them. He then returned to the driver seat and drove the car back to the office.

He had just stepped out of the lift with his two children in his left and right hands when Jordan Hill came to meet him from another corridor.

Jordan jogged forward. He first glanced at both of the children, then swept a glance in the direction of the office. He said, “Mr Moore, Darcy is waiting for you in your office.”

“Darcy?”

“Yes, something seems to be going on. I told Darcy to phone you, but he said that it would be better to talk about it face to face.”

“Okay, you go and take care about the incident in AY kindergarten. I don’t want to see any more similar incidents happen to them when they both go to kindergarten tomorrow.”
