A Pigeon Pair: Sweetheart, Let's Get Married novel Chapter 187

Maverick answered the phone after getting on the car.

The driver was driving in the front, so he raised the soundproof glass.

The car seemed to be a little more depressing. Maverick was listening to the report on the phone.

But the investigator was a little hesitant.

Maverick suspected that it had something to do with Elenore.

The investigator stammered. Maverick was more confused. He said in a low voice, "Everyone knows that I don't like those who can't say clearly. Just tell me what you find. I want evidence."

The investigator kept silent for a moment. He sounded reluctant but still told Maverick everything.

"I can be sure that everything I have found is true. So it is very strange. But I hope that you can believe me. It's related to Miss Everly herself."

Maverick frowned and said, "Tell me the details."

"Miss Everly put on a show. We have investigated all the details thoroughly. The account where the money was transferred was deliberately erased. An expert recovered the phone call record. We were sure that Miss Everly asked someone to follow you and take the photos."

Maverick became cold and asked, "Are you sure?"

"Yes. And it turns out that it was Miss Everly who bought the photos of you and Miss Elenore."

Of course Maverick could not believe it.

However, the investigator sent the evidence to him. There were some records of transactions. It was obvious that Everly did this.

Maverick looked at the evidence, frowning.

It was evening. The car sped along the road and the scenery outside went back. Maverick propped his elbow against the window and his eyes fell on his face in the mirror.

Something suddenly occurred to him.

Who did you think couldn't see what you look like clearly?

It was yourself.

The mirror could also lie. You might not look like what was in the mirror.

...

In Italy.

Elenore just finished a video conference and someone knocked on the door.

She closed the computer and took off her glasses. She looked sharp.

The assistant came in, followed by an enchanting woman.

Elenore changed her face slightly, but she kept calm and asked the assistant to go out first. When the door was closed, Elenore changed her face and asked indifferently, "What do you come here for?"
