A Trust-fund Baby novel Chapter 53

In N City

After entering with Diana into Diana’s house, Judson saw Sally who was sitting alone in a daze in the living room. Seeing Sally again after two months, they found that Sally hadn’t combed her hair, and had more white hairs, with dark eye sockets and sallow face, looking haggard.

Seeing Judson and Diana come back, Sally was extremely shocked with her widely opened mouth, “Diana, you and Judson?”

Looking at the haggard Sally, Diana felt a little pitiful. Although Sally had been tart and mean, Diana had lived with her for more than 20 years after all, and still had some affection for her. Besides, over the half year Sally had suffered a lot to live in this way.

Diana took a deep breath, “Mom, I am back with Judson… But we are not reconciled yet, nor are we remarried…”

Hearing this, Sally frowned but soon the tight eyebrows smoothed. She took Diana by the hand, “Well, glad to see you back. There is no hurry to get remarried. Mom didn’t tell anyone after you and Judson got divorced. I am waiting for some day when you and Judson become reconciled. Daughter, you have suffered a lot. Mom is sorry to you...”

Sally dissolved into tears while speaking. Only during these months when she was alone in N City, did she realize how difficult and distressing the life was, and did she remember Diana’s goodness as well as Judson’s.

Looking at Sally’s regretful tears with complex feelings in her mind, Diana turned to look at Judson, with prayers in her eyes, who wanted to ask Judson to forgive Sally.

Seeing Diana looking at Judson, Sally took a deep breath, knowing well in her mind how disgusting she was to Judson, and how she treated Judson over the past year.

Sally walked to Judson and began to slap herself violently, sparing no efforts to slap herself, with all her strength...

Judson frowned more deeply, and he couldn’t stand this kind of scene. When he left N City, he didn’t want to see this woman anymore in his life. Besides, she was just Diana’s foster mother, but Diana still had affection for her.

Watching Sally keeping slapping herself at this moment, he understood that Sally wanted him to vent his anger. So Sally didn’t stop since he didn’t ask her to. When Sally was about to give herself a slap again, Judson took hold of her hand.

With half face swollen, Sally looked at Judson with complex feelings, “Judson, I am so sorry for the past, who had made Diana and you suffer a lot, sorry. If you want to vent more anger, just slap me. I have suffered a lot over the past half year, and now I just want you to have a good life together with Diana. I will never ask for anything else...”

Judson looked up and took a deep breath. When he looked down at Sally again, he sighed deeply. No matter how Sally treated him before, she was Diana’s mother after all. No matter how deep Judson’s resentment was, he would never really slap her.

Judson sighed deeply, looked at Sally and said, “Mom, everything has gone, and I am still your son-in-law from now on. Diana and I will be filial to you in the future...”

“Well, it’s all my fault, which has made both of you suffer a lot... You both just relax, and I will go out to do some grocery shopping...” Sally burst into tears at this moment. After speaking, Sally wiped her tears with sleeve and went out...

After Sally left, Diana glanced at Judson and said frowning, “Judson, I am tired, and I want to stay alone to relax myself...”

Judson nodded and said, “Well, then I’ll take my leave...”

Hardly had Judson walked to the door when Diana suddenly stopped him, “Judson, there is a birthday party tonight for my grandma. Could you go with me?”
