“Lucas, please, I promise that I will never harm Jessica again.” Jessica cried and begged as two servants pulled Jessica’s arms and dragged her out.
“Why? Lucas? Why are you partial to her? She’s just your ex-wife! am your sister!”
Olivia cried hard. Her cry lingered in the room. It did not fade until she was taken away from the villa.
Lucas waited until he could no longer hear Olivia’s cry. He then said to Justin and Rebecca, “I’m going back to work. Have a good rest.”
Then, Lucas called the driver to drive back to the Thomas Group. He wanted to be left alone.
When Lucas and Jessica had not divorced, every time he returned to the Thomas villa, Olivia would always say how Jessica bullied her. Yet Lucas never felt like looking into what had happened.
Sitting in the office, Lucas lit a cigar while watching the glamour of Los Angeles through the French window.
Lucas only knew how much he owed Jessica after they were divorced.
But did Lucas do all that today only out of guilt?
When he saw those words, Lucas felt very uncomfortable.
Drowned in his own thoughts, Lucas somehow drove to Jessica’s place.
By that time, Jessica had already returned to her apartment. Lucas saw the light radiating from her window, wondering if he should go upstairs and see her.
Lucas knew that Jessica did not want to see him.
But Lucas still wanted to explain to her that he was not the plotter.
However, the way Jessica saw it, it made no difference whether the Thomas family did it or Lucas did it.
Early the next morning, Justin asked Dwayné to drive to the Beverly Hills. He had an appointment with Trissy at Gucci Osteria.
“Good morning, Mr. Thomas.” Trissy arrived early and waited outside. When she received the call from Dwayne, she was very surprised. Originally, Luna wanted to come with Trissy, but Dwayne insisted that Trissy should come by herself.
“Sit,” Justin said with an attitude. He was quite polite when speaking to Jessica. Yet when it came to Trissy, Justin wasn’t as polite.
“Mr. Thomas, is it about what we talked about last time? Luna and I haven’t made our decision yet. Could you please give me some more time?” Trissy sat down and asked respectfully.
Justin gestured at Dwayne. Dwayne immediately took out a document and placed it in front of Trissy.
“Miss Cheek, it’s for something else. Take a look at this document first.”
Trissy was puzzled, but she was too afraid of Justin to question him directly. Thus, she bent her head and opened the document.
To resolve the problem within the time limit Jessica imposed, Justin had come up with a solution.
As long as Trissy made an announcement, saying that she was the one picking on Jessica and framing her up with resentment.
