Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties novel Chapter 87

"What are they doing here?"

Drake halted, so did his subjects who were behind him. His eyes travelled to the three girls who were at the waterfall, inside the water, washing.

He knew he should change his form or something but he felt like he had to think some things through.

"Since when did they become so neat and visit to wash so often?"

He had no idea why he felt contempt for them. It was hard to tell if the contempt was aimed at only one of them or all. Probably because he could see Claire. Though he had lied to himself that he already forgave her, his inner man had other ideas.

He turned to the Cannibals who were looking expectantly at him. He hadn't forgiven them yet either. Forgiveness seemed to be a costly luxury which he couldn't afford. Not at that moment.

"I guess we'll have to find another place..."

"The Cannibals!!!"

He heard one of the girls call from behind him. He couldn't take the risk, he quickly activated the invisible gait.

"Lugal... Lugal..."

He heard the Cannibals calling at him, in their faces were scribbles of bewilderment and fear.

"I'm here... I didn't leave."

He took a pause for a moment, observing how well the Cannibals would be able to process the new development. The new change.

"There are a couple of things that you lot would have to be used to henceforth. And one of them is this. Sorry I didn't give you a heads-up."

He didn't know why he was expecting one of he Cannibals to say something. Probably ask a question or something close to that. When he realized that none of them were willing to do that, he decided to get this over with. After all, he didn't have time to waste. There were still a lot to do!

"You'll walk to the water and do as I say. Do not pay attention to whatever any of the girls say. Keep your distance from them, do not freak them out. Get your business done and ---"

He didn't want to conclude yet.

"I'll be with you of course... but I will at my own terms. So, no further questions."

Was that really necessary? None of them was going to question him in the first place.

"I have a few things to say to you after the first assignment."

OR SHOULD I TAKE THEM TO THE SMALL ISLAND? THEY COULD BE OF HELP. THEIR UNIQUE PROWESS COULD COME IN HANDY.

He shook his head. Then he noticed that the Cannibals were still standing before him.

"Follow me."

He wasn't sure if that was the right thing to say. How could they follow someone whom they couldn't see?

But with the aid of directions, he was able to lead them to an end of the water which was quite a distance away from the three girls.

"Listen attentively."

He started.

"The first assignment is what I call, bathing! Repeat after me."

"Baring... bading... baiting...bagin..."

Damien couldn't afford making joke off of their weird pronunciation of the word. He didn't have time for silly jokes.

"It's important for y'all to know that y'all smell like shit! I mean, not just any type of shit, but a microwaved shit!!!"

He knew they didn't understand him.

"I wonder how y'all can live stinking like that! I would had passed out a million time if I wasn't from a poor background. If I was lucky to have rich parents like my queens, y'all weirdoes would probably be feasting on my corpse in the name of a godforsaken rite."

He nodded. He was wasting time.

"I bet they don't know what a smell is."

He shook his head. He would had loved to give an illustration, but it would be useless.

"Enough of the party talk. Here's what you would be doing."

"All of you, walk into the water."

He had scarcely let those words out when the men walked into the water. He noticed one who was doing far and far into the deep part.

"Hey, fool... stop there!!!"

He almost screamed his lungs out. He was so glad that he could use the invisible skill, else.

"Now that you are in the water, pushed one of your arms slowly into the water beneath you, then scoop some in your large palms."

He thought at first that he would have to explain practically to them instead of theoretically. But it seemed as though he was wrong.

He was impressed to see how adept the Cannibals were to instructions. How precise and attentive they were... how accurately they interpreted every of his words into actions.

He had thought that the Cannibal who watched over the watchtower was unique, because of how keen to instructions the Cannibal was. He never knew that all the Cannibals had that special ear and mind for reasoning. He bet that there were still a couple of things he didn't know about them.

For the first time, he was proud to be the king of such a unique set. By time, if they were groomed appropriately, they might prove so useful that he might not need the system anymore. That's if he was still on the island.

"Scrub down your arm, thighs, and every part of your body."

While making a list, he made sure to emphasize by pointing at the part of the body which he meant.

It was easy for the Cannibals because they were already naked. They only had to glid their big palms across their bodies.

"Oh shit."

Damien cussed as he watched as that part of the water turned dead black.

"Bruh, this bastards are so dirty. The fuck! I'm sure they never had a bath since they were born... born? Wait, were they born or did they evolve?"
