Crash-landed On An Island With Nine Beauties novel Chapter 89

"How are we supposed to stop one of them?"

"That's a good question. How do we get one of them to talk?"

For the first time in a long while, Laurette agreed with Claire. The girls knew that they couldn't stop for a moment else they would lose the Cannibals.

"Let's get to them first before getting worried. When we get to that bridge we would find a way to cross it. Isn't that a popular maxim?"

Ayisha didn't for once look at the rest of the girls. She kept on hurrying up the path. Her soles were the lightest. The rest had trouble catching up with her.

"We are gradually approaching their village. Would we keep running behind them or call at one of them or something..."

Claire was as impatient as ever.

"Of course we would keep following them."

"And why should we do that?"

Claire halted suddenly. Laurette did too. Ayisha had no choice but to respect their stances.

"Do you have a better idea?"

Ayisha walked back to Claire, halting before her. Claire couldn't even shake her head in defense.

"How about you?"

She looked from Claire to Laurette. Laurette was able to shake hers slowly.

"Then we do it my way."

She turned away from them to walk away, but then hesitated. She turned back to them,

"See, I'm not trying to boss you around. We all have equal rights here, okay? The fact is just that we can't even speak their language. We have to think of a foolproof plan to be able to get the attention of one of them. Stopping all of them would only harm our plan."

"You can't be so sure of that!"

Claire was looking for a way to beat her to it.

"We don't have time for our differences. Let's do it her way for a while, if it doesn't work out, we'll think of another way!"

Laurette decided to draw a closure.

"Follow me then."

Ayisha turned away again. Laurette followed. Claire stood their watching them go,

"She doesn't boss around....isn't that what she said?"

She sneered,

"That wench!"

She followed them. The three arrived at the fence of the Cannibal's village. They were a mile away, hiding behind a big tree.

"What if we take the other route. We could find a stray Cannibal."

Laurette suggested.

"Why should that matter? We are looking for one not trying to steal one! We can work from anywhere, as far as our goal is well pronounced."

Claire was always ready to counter. The both girls glanced at her for a while then looked away.

"Don't you find it weird... I mean, didn't you?"

Ayisha came on again.

"What?"

The both girls chorused.

"From earlier. At first, the Cannibals stopped bathing abruptly, then walked briskly to the foot of the big tree, they bowed and stood several times, then put one clothes."

"So what? What about that?"

Claire didn't take her time to think it through before bouncing the idea off.

"What's your IQ? Are you really dumb or being a prick!!!"

Laurette decided not keep her cool anymore.

"Laurette."

Ayisha called to make her realize the weight of her words.

"No I mean, can't she see beyond her hate? There are somethings that don't matter at some point in time. Even a hopeless urchin knows better."

It was strange that Claire wasn't taking it to heart. That was enough to pick the interest of Ayisha who couldn't take her eyes off Claire.

"I feel like they are taking orders from someone. I'm not sure. Imagine one of the Cannibals bringing out one of the clothes and spreading it like he was taking ---"

Laurette paused for a moment. It seemed as though she was trying to sort her thoughts.

"And to think of it. Could the Cannibals really make clothes? If they could, why didn't they make one all their lives?! Why now!!! There's something not right. Claire was right, Damien might be somewhere out there..."

Claire's eyebrows raised when Laurette complimented her. It seemed as though her ears had just played tricks on her.

"Let's get one of the Cannibals first, then we can continue with the plan..."

Ayisha didn't for once waver on what her mind had been set on. Yes, that was the kind of girl she was.

"You mean, the climbing of tree plan?"

Claire wanted to be sure. Ayisha nodded.

"Now."

Ayisha walked out of the hide.

"Follow me."

She added and walked towards the fence of the village.

"Where are you going?"

Claire called, trying to be audible but not loud. Ayisha didn't respond, let alone turn. She kept on walking, through the fence then into the village.

"That crazy bitch!!! What does she think she's doing?"

"You can go after her all you want. I'm not risking my life, even though I have something for Damien."

Claire glared at Laurette who had just finished talking. It was obvious why she did that.

"So we are going to stay here?"

Claire asked the clear question.

"No, we are going to crawl on our heads to meet her."

Laurette trolled.

"You crazy wench, you really think you can beat me if we go fists to fists?"

The atmosphere was getting tense between the both of them. Laurette chuckled wryly,

"That isn't a wish, dummy. I've already beaten you once. The second time would be a top up."

"This crazy bitch..."

Claire reached out her arms quickly and grabbed Laurette's hair.

"I'll pull your skull out, you dumb bastard!!!"

Claire's eyes were beginning to glow red.

"Let me go... let got of my hair you psycho..."

Laurette grabbed both of Claire's wrist and tried to yank them off, but Claire wouldn't let go. She held so strongly and dearly.

"Ahhhh... let me go..."

Laurette sent a kick into Claire's stomach and the latter almost dropped on her knees, yet she held unto the hair.

"You think I was joking? I will make you pay for having sex with him without my permission."

Claire moved forward to bite Laurette while the latter struggled to ---

"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!"

A strange voice came from the village of the Cannibals.

"Huh?"

The both of them looked. Ayisha, chased by a Cannibal who had a big scar on his face.

"Run!!!"

Ayisha called before getting to them. Claire let go of Laurette at that. She was about to turn when Laurette grabbed her face,

"What are you doing?"

Claire was confused. Laurette landed two hot slaps in her face then started running away.

"Ouch... this bitch!!!"

Claire yelled on top of her voice as she watched Laurette run away.

"Wait for me, you bitch!!! Wait!!!"

Claire ran after her. While Ayisha ran for her dear life, the other girls ran to skin each other alive.

The girls kept running through the woods. The Cannibals didn't for once stop.

"What did you do to provoke him so much?"

Laurette called at Ayisha who was behind her?

"Don't ask dumb questions and keep running."

Asking the question, Laurette had slowed her pace and Claire was able to gain on her. The latter was about to pull the former's hair but the former was very smart.

"I'll kill you!!"

Claire didn't seem to be giving up the rage.

"Really girls??!"

Ayisha, shocked to the core couldn't believe her eyes. I mean, how could the two be at each other's throats at such a point in time?

Suddenly, while the girls ran through the woods, a leopard jumped out of a school of shrubs and snarled at them.

"Oh my God! Ayisha..."

Laurette called, seeing the leopard. The girls couldn't keep running anymore. Instead they clutched to each other.

The Cannibal coming behind them didn't seem to scare them anymore at the face of a ruthless panther. They knew the odds.

While Ayisha allowed Claire to hold unto her, Laurette held unto Claire. That way, Claire could pinch her in the neck, her arms around her neck. How petty huh?

But Laurette couldn't feel the pain. All the girls were scared out of their wits. It was quite a surprise that they weren't peeing their thongs yet.

Suddenly, they felt a swift movement past them and a big thud before them. They looked. The Cannibal.

"Can he do it?"

Claire gulped in fear. It seemed as though she had finally given up on settling the score. Because her question was directed to Laurette.

"Let's hope."

Ayisha muttered.

"Why shouldn't he able to? Why is he strong? Taking out his anger only on ladi---"

The action going on at their front denied Laurette of the argument see was trying to sustain.

The Cannibal had charged at the panther! The leopard threw paws at the Cannibal but he dodged so gracefully and tried to grappled at its waist, but it slipped away.

"Woah..."

"Am in some sort of movie?"

"You bet."

The leopard came again. But more determinedly and mercilessly now. The Cannibal leapt over it, the cat somersaulted but felt marks in the arms of the Cannibal. Blood.

"He is not so strong. I wish it were Damien. In a blink of an eye, he would be done!"

"We all miss him."

"Even though some people pretend not to, but find themselves doing everything that would bring him back."

Claire's eyes said that Laurette's comment had just revived the dead grudge. They exchanged glares for a while.

"Look!!!"

Ayisha called their attention. They looked. The Cannibal was on the leopard, clawing his way through its thick skin.

"That looks gory."

Claire threw her face away. As well as Laurette who would look back occasionally. But Ayisha didn't for once miss a scene.

Ayisha watched as the Cannibal dug his claws into the sockets of the leopard and plucked out its eyes. He tossed the eyes into his mouth. Then he dug his hand into the side of leopard, cutting a handful of the leopard's hide which he tossed away, then ripped its heart out. He gobbled it at once.

"I want to puke."

Laurette ran away to puke. The Cannibal rolled away from the carcass of the leopard. He dropped on his back. He was covered in blood.

"Where are you going?"

Claire called at Ayisha who was now walking towards the Cannibal.

"This is our chance."

Ayisha announced, not stopping for once, let alone looking back.
