Harvey York's Rise to Power novel Chapter 239

“Of course, he’s my husband.” Mandy replied matter-of-factly.

“But you’ve never brought him along before?” Angel asked curiously.

“Don’t mind it so much. Are you willing to bring your boyfriend?”

Tsk! Angel said contemptuously, “Mandy, I don’t mean to argue with you. If you bring Harvey, this worthless piece of trash, you’ll just humiliate yourself. Maybe someone at the gathering will take delight in that.”

“Who?” Mandy appeared adorkable.

“Nia Howell! Have you forgotten about her? Back in university, every man she liked had a secret crush on you. She would fail every time she confessed to a man. She wanted to strangle you to death so badly.”

“I heard she had a good life in South Korea during these years. She’s now as beautiful as an angel after her plastic surgery. The reason she’s returning to our country is for this gathering.” Angel advised Mandy patiently. “She’s probably coming for you! Mandy, you’d better be careful!”

“Besides, Nia was really lucky. I heard she used a fake photograph from the internet to have an online love affair with a rich heir. That man gave her money every day. It lasted for half a year.

“And then? Before they met up, Nia used that money to go for plastic surgery. After she finally met him, she made him her husband so he’s quite loyal to her. I heard they’re living the good life. She’s always showing off her bags, villas and sports cars in our classmates’ group chat.”

Cecilia sighed as well. She might not like how Nia became beautiful through plastic surgery, but it was true Nia led a wonderful life that couldn’t be compared to that of ordinary people.

“Is she married?” Mandy was quite surprised. She only paid attention to this part.

“Yes, she’s married now. She even invited the three of us, but we didn’t attend her wedding ceremony.” Angel said. “Have you forgotten about it?”

Angel heaved a sigh. She looked at Harvey up and down and said, “Worthless trash, if you’re still a true man, you better don’t attend the gathering. Mandy’s always being mocked by others because of you.” When she was finished, she sighed again.

Hearing this, Cecilia too began to persuade Mandy. “In my opinion, Mandy should divorce this worthless trash immediately. Given how exceptional she is, she’ll find an excellent husband with better credentials in the blink of an eye. Before the gathering, in fact.”

Harvey rolled his eyes. “Why do you think Mandy will be humiliated if she brings me? Maybe I’ll make her proud.”

“Tsk…” Angel gave him no respect. “You?”

After that, Angel didn’t bother talking to Harvey. ‘This man doesn’t have any sense of self-awareness. I don’t know what’s wrong with Mandy. Now she’s even letting him be a part of her life.

‘Could it be Mandy’s still not ready to divorce him?’
