Harvey York's Rise to Power novel Chapter 238

At the end of the day, the secretary was just an outsider. He could only give some reminders to Senior Zimmer during critical moments. However when Senior Zimmer had made a decision, no ordinary person could change it.

Besides, Senior Zimmer assumed Mandy would most probably refrain from doing anything stupid.

Mandy needed protection from a family like the Zimmers. If the Zimmers were bankrupt, she wouldn’t be able to lead a good life either.

Senior Zimmer shook his head and inhaled deeply. “What I’m worried most is if Mandy will make more contributions as time goes by.”

“She’s just a useless woman. What if her achievements grow so much, she starts to influence my status? She’ll become the chairman directly. When that happens, should we abandon the Zimmer name and take up the York surname instead?”

“That’s true. We cannot let outsiders take over the Zimmers.” The secretary said in agreement. As the chairman’s secretary, he wouldn’t have a good end if the Zimmers fell to outsiders.

At the pedestrian streets of Niumhi, in a high-end cafe.

Both Harvey and Mandy sat side by side. Cecilia and Angel sat across them.

With three beautiful ladies sitting together in the cafe, a lot of men couldn’t help but sneak a glance at them.

On the other hand, Harvey sat at the side, playing with his phone. He appeared quite shabby. Right now, he was being glared at by a lot of people.

However, he kept his gaze down, his expression unchanging. Cecilia's leg, which was swaying in front of him, was nothing but a dead object to him.

“Humph!”

Seeing that she failed to tease Harvey and humiliate him, Cecilia could not help but sneer.

Since the incident at the auction the other day, she hated Harvey deeply. It was the reason why Jake made so much trouble for her.

She dressed sexily today in order to embarrass Harvey. As it turned out, he had no interest to spare her even one glance.

“By the way, Mandy. Do you really want this guy to go to the gathering with you?” Sitting at the side, Angel asked hesitantly.
