Her Second Marriage, Being Mr. Moore's New Wife novel Chapter 164

In addition to studying these days, Charlotte also ran to the mall after get off work every day to study with Kara.

Although Kara had little hope for her at the beginning, Kara was shocked by her progress these days, and Charlotte worked harder than she thought. She was not afraid of hardship or tired.

Sometimes, Charlotte was so tired and almost fell asleep in her office, but she was still struggling, and then fell asleep on the table after a while.

Kara could see her dark circles and couldn't help teasing her.

"You keep going like this. Doesn't Kennedy feel sorry for you?"

Charlotte paused when she heard Kennedy's name, then smiled faintly.

She didn't answer.

This was the longest period of the cold war since she married Kennedy.

Kennedy treated her as an invisible person, and she didn't take the initiative to speak to Kennedy.

Although they lived in the same room, they ignored each other farther than strangers.

After thinking about it, Charlotte thought it... was also good.

At least, she didn't have to struggle with Kennedy, she just plunged into work. Out of sight, out of mind.

"Girls have to cherish themselves. Youth is limited. If you keep going like this, I'm afraid you will get old too quickly. Then Kennedy will blame me"

Charlotte paused for a moment, then smiled, "Kara, don't make fun of me."

"Who is making fun of you? I don't have time to do so. Stop working today. Go back and rest. Take a mirror and see what your eyes look like."

Charlotte didn't care, thinking Kara lied to her.

The next second, Kara put a mirror directly in front of her, and Charlotte took a look, almost jumped out of shock by the woman in the mirror.

The woman in the mirror was pale. Her undereye circles were sort of purple, and her lips were not as moisturized as usual, they were all dry.

"This, this is..."

"Scared, right?" Kara snorted, "I really have never seen a woman who can't dress herself better than you. You don't care your appearance at all!"

Charlotte was embarrassed and couldn't help reaching out and rubbing her face.

"Sorry Kara, I scared you."

"We are also women. It's okay to scare me. I'm afraid to scare Kennedy. Even if you have to work hard, women still have to take care of themselves. After all, you can only be worthy of a better person if you are good."

This was true, and Charlotte had always thought so.

Unfortunately, she had never been such a good person.

And she was not worthy of better people.

"Go back and rest quickly."

"Ok."

Charlotte also realized that she was really tired recently, so she had to pack up and go home.

She used to get home very late, and Kennedy had already fallen asleep. Today, she arrived home earlier. When she returned home, she found Kennedy was still in the study. Charlotte was too tired, so she went to bed immediately after taking a shower.

When she slept, she seemed to have one hand touching her cheeks, and those hands were cold and dry, as if something was rubbing her eyes, causing her to frown with some discomfort. She wanted to open her eyes to have a look, but she was too tired to open her eyes.

Then she groaned, and then the hand put back.

It was quiet in the middle of the night, and Charlotte had a good dream until dawn.

When she washed her face the next day, she found that her eye circles seemed a little sticky, and the eye circles had faded a bit. Sure enough, sleep was a natural mask.
