William didn’t say a word or move an inch. Doris raised her gaze to find him staring at her quietly. Goosebumps lined her skin as the moment stretched, she nervously clenched the cake box in her hand but felt too afraid to move. After what felt like hours, he snorted. “You seem to be quite popular with men, aren’t you?”
