Honey, I'll Make You a Star (Margaret and Charleston) novel Chapter 20

Chapter 20 The Douchebags' Engagement

Meanwhile.

In the courtyard of the Simons family.

Zachary had sent Stephanie back to the Simons family's house.

"Zachary, you've been with Stephanie for a long time. It's time to start thinking about your future, no?" William suggested.

Stephanie blushed and said, "Dad..."

"Uncle, I have already discussed this with my parents. We are planning to get engaged by the end of this month," Zachary replied.

"Great. As parents, we are happy as long as you two are happy and have a blissful relationship. Stephanie is my only daughter. You have to treat her well." William looked at them happily.

"You have nothing to worry about, Uncle," Zachary replied. This was not the first time William had hinted at their marriage, but for some reason, Zachary sounded somewhat impatient this time.

What did he mean by Stephanie was his only daughter?

Although Margaret was an adopted child, she was still considered a part of the Simons family in the eyes of the law.

Margaret's face involuntarily appeared in Zachary's mind. She had grown more beautiful and attractive now than she was four years ago.

Zachary had always thought that Margaret still loved him, but she affectionately called another man her honey, and this was eating him alive.

Despite this, he kept his true feelings and emotions hidden.

The three of them continued discussing the preparations needed for the engagement banquet at the end of the month.

Zachary only left the Simons family's house late in the night.

In the living room.

Stephanie looked frazzled. She said to her father in a low voice, "Dad, I met Margaret today."

"Has she returned to Haverland?" William's smile disappeared.

"Yes, I saw her at the Emperor Hotel with a rich old man. She somehow offended the man and was then chased out."
