Honey, I'll Make You a Star (Margaret and Charleston) novel Chapter 21

Chapter 21 How Dare You, Margaret!

"How dare you, Margaret!" Sandra was startled by Margaret's action. She quickly flew into flurry of rage and shouted at Margaret when she realized it was her.

Margaret raised her hand and slapped Sandra in the face twice without saying a word.

"Margaret, are you crazy?" Sandra never expected Margaret to do something like this. Margaret's slaps were so hard that her black-framed glasses were knocked off and it didn't take long for her cheeks to start swelling up.

"Your face sure is thick! That made my hand hurt!" Margaret mocked as she vigorously shook her hand.

"You, you..." Sandra was so furious that her chest heaved. "Margaret, how dare you go against me and lay a hand on me."

"If you dared to drug and frame me, why would I not dare to hit you?" Margaret snorted coldly.

"What drug? I don't even know what you're talking about." Sandra flinched at Margaret's accusations.

"You don't know about it?" Margaret picked up the cup of tea on the table and splashed it directly on Sandra's face. "Here, let me help you sober up."

"Ah!" Sandra screamed in terror. She rushed towards Margaret, ready to attack her.

Margaret avoided her attacks and shoved her to the floor. She grabbed Sandra's arm forcefully and asked coldly, "Does it hurt? This is to teach you a lesson. You'd better pray that I don't find any evidence against you."

Sandra gasped and refuted fiercely, "Margaret, you're screwed. Not only for the role of Tiana, but you will never get an opportunity to act in any more plays in the future."

"Okay, sure! I would also like to remind you that I will never, ever return to Galaxy Entertainment unless you beg me to," Margaret replied.

After saying that, Margaret left.

Her cold gaze caught a lot of people's attention.

Finally, after walking out of the company, Margaret's eyes started welling up in tears.

...

On the top floor of the president's office of the Limbaugh Group.

Someone knocked on the office door.

"Come in." Charleston said in a deep voice.

The heavy door was pushed open and Larry came in with a document in his hand.

"Sir, this is the actor list of Ancient Star," Larry said.

Charleston never cared about these matters at all in the past. However, things were different now.

Margaret was going to act in Ancient Star. So of course, he cared about it.

Charleston quickly scanned through all the minor characters on the list for the role of Tiana.

However, an unfamiliar name was sitting in Tiana's actor name column.

Elaine Allen.

"What's going on? Why would Tiana's role be played by someone else?" Charleston's eyes reflected his hostility towards this.

Larry replied honestly, "They're saying that the second major investor of the play asked to swap her out because she offended him."

Charleston's handsome face darkened. His thin lips slightly parted, and a sense of danger set in. "If the role of Tiana doesn't go to her, Limbaugh Group shall withdraw its funds," he said.

Although this jewelry company was not internationally famous, for some artists, it was an opportunity for them to promote themselves to audiences in foreign countries. Thus, a lot of artists were eager to secure the role.

However, that didn't matter to Limbaugh Group at all. If the Group withdrew its funds, Ancient Star's filming would immediately be suspended due to insufficient funding.

Meanwhile, in the office of Galaxy Entertainment.

"You idiot!" The managing director of Galaxy Entertainment glared at Sandra. "And to think that you even wanted to stop Margaret from getting any plays!"

"Can't... Can't I?" Sandra didn't expect to receive such a response from the management.

The managing director said exasperatingly, "Let me tell you the truth. Haver Entertainment has stated that if Margaret doesn't play the role of Tiana, they will withdraw all funds. Stephanie is the lead actress in Ancient Star. We need this platform to help Stephanie penetrate the foreign market!"
