Please Be Gentle With Me Mr Grant
Chapter 6 Table Manners
Todd and Kylie had gotten married too, but when they were leaving civil services, the supposedly happy couple had started arguing.
Kylie snapped, “You’re jealous seeing her get married to someone else, aren’t you?”
“Don’t make things up,” Todd huffed. Kylie was half right. The part he couldn’t bear was that the man Blanca was marrying was a hundred times more capable than he was.
Kylie pushed on. “Ever since you saw her, you’ve been unfocused and off. You still have feeling for her, don’t you!”
Todd avoided her eyes and took her hand, keeping his voice pleasant. “If I still felt anything for her, why would I marry you? Don’t overthink it and stress the baby out.”
Kylie knew that every time Todd lied to her, he avoided her eyes.
And ever since Todd broke up with Blanca and started officially going out with Kylie, she’d felt that Todd regretted it, even calling Blanca’s name in his sleep. If it hadn’t been for the fact that Kylie was with child, Todd might have just gone back and tried to get back together with Blanca.
Considering that, Kylie was furious.
