Chapter 242 Beat to the Draw

Before Gracie could finish speaking, the driver slammed on the emergency brake.

Due to the sudden jerk, everyone’s backs were forced into the car seats.

Kisa felt nervous.

Carolyn and Sharon’s plan was for the car to drive into a rural area and Anthony would kidnap

everyone.

Kisa had already checked the route yesterday. In about ten minutes, the car should reach a road that was under construction. That was the most rural area.

If Kisa had guessed it correctly, Anthony’s men would ambush the car in that area.

The place where they suddenly stopped at was neither rural nor busy. It was the place where Kisa and Jensen had discussed. A road sign made of stone they had marked down the day before.

That’s right. Kisa had arranged her own people to ambush the area.

Her plan was to make a move before Anthony kidnapped everyone.

She could only get the upper hand when she beat Anthony to the draw.

After the car stopped, a few masked men pulled open the car door.

Carolyn and Sharon were in obvious disbelief.

“Wh–Who are you guys? What are you trying to do?”

They found it weird that Anthony changed the location without informing them.

Kisa sneered internally but pretended to be scared, “What are you guys doing?! Don’t come near me!!!

Gracie was not informed about this. Her face was genuinely filled with shock and panic.

When the big sized men entered the car, Kelvin hurried over to guard Gracie with his body. He yelled at those men, “What are you guys trying to do in broad daylight?”

“Shut up. Mr. Mullen gave us an order to kidnap all of you to play a game. Boys, go for it.”

Upon hearing the words ‘Mr. Mullen‘, Carolyn and Sharon seemed a lot more relaxed.

Although they still seemed scared on the outside, it was obvious that they were acting.

In the car, the driver was a man in his fifties. Other than Kelvin who was a young man, the rest are all ladies.

Kelvin could not protect everyone with just a pair of hands. After a while, the gangster pinned him down.

Kelvin was enraged. He threatened and yelled at those big sized men but to no avail.

A few of the men whipped out pen knives and stabbed at the shoulders of those in the car. All of them groaned and fainted instantly.

“Hiss!”

After a long while, Kisa woke up in a daze. Her shoulders were extremely painful.

She gritted her teeth and tried to move her muscles as she looked around her.

‘This looks like a hut in the farm with a double bedroom.’

Kelvin and Gracie were lying on the bed, knocked out. The unconscious Sharon was thrown at a corner, seeming a little haggard.

Someone waved at Kisa outside the window.

Kisa glanced once at Sharon before she silently tiptoed out of the room.

“How is it? Is everything okay?”

“Yeah. Everything is prepared. The reporters are already here.”

“Okay.”

Suddenly, a noise was heard from the room. One of them must have woken up.

Kisa quickly waved her hand, signaling the person to leave.

She stood at the door and was not in a hurry to step back in. Instead, she peeped inside quietly to check on the situation.

She noticed that Kelvin had woken up. He was panicking and calling Gracie to wake that Gracie was in good shape, Kelvin let out a sigh of relief.

After Gracie woke up, Sharon soon followed after.
