Savage Mates novel Chapter 88

Chapter Eighty-Eight: Hunt me?

“Matilda,” Travis repeated, turning my face up to his. He leaned closer to me, his fingertips trailing over my jaw. “What’s wrong?”

: I blinked up at him. How could he not know what was wrong? If they felt so much of my emotions, how could he not know that I was upset about the marks on his throat?

“If you don’t tell me, I can’t take care of it.”

Lifting up my hand, I brushed shaking fingers over the side of his throat. His shoulders shook at my touch and his eyes slipped closed.

“What does this mean for us, this mark?” I asked, biting my lower lip. I was still trying not to freak out about it.

“Sweets,” Travis said, opening his eyes to give me a heated look. “If you keep touching me like that, you won’t be getting out of this bed anytime soon.”

“Travis, our mate is sore.” Jason said with a growl.

“Mmm-hmm. And what were you doing between her pretty little thighs just now, Sir?” Travis smirked, looking away from me and over at Jason.

“Taking care of my mate.” Jason answered, “I didn’t do a very good job of meeting her needs yesterday but I won’t make that same mistake twice.”

“Good, now sweet girl, if my pussy is ready for me. I would like to eat my breakfast in bed.” Travis looked over at me, his dark eyes moving over my body.

I frowned, pressing my lips together. Was he intentionally avoiding my question or had my touch really distracted him that much?

“Travis, you didn’t answer my question.”

“I’m going to get you some sweats, kitten.” Jason said, patting my legs before unfolding himself from the bed and climbing over me.

“What question? Was it the claiming thing?” He asked, pulling his hand away from the side of my face to move his fingers through my hair. The way he said it like it wasn’t a big deal to him. Like it was just something that was there made my insides swirl. His eyebrows knit together and he gave me a lopsided smile “Is that what’s bothering you, Tillie?”

“Y, yes, The claiming thing, Jason, well he told me about it and I, I’m just…” I trailed off, lifting my hands up and letting out a frustrated sigh,

I had never had a problem expressing myself but with them, it felt like I couldn’t find the right words to tell them what I was feeling. It was so much more powerful than any words I could use.

“Worried. She’s worried about what will happen.” Jason finished for me as he opened the drawer to his dresser Digging around until he found a pair of sweats
