Now I can feel my heart racing for I actually don't know if I should tell her the truth or think of something else to tell her that she would believe.

"Something like?" I said with a fake smile on my face.

"I don't know, you know we don't keep secrets right, so just asking". She said with a brief smile.

" Oh you right we don't keep secrets but if there is something else, I would tell you okay" I tried to make it look convincing and I also had a belief she doesn't know what I came to do here.

"Well, I have something to tell you that have been keeping from you all this while, and don't freak out after I am done saying it?" She asked for my assurance and I gave it to her, also curious as well to know exactly is the stuff she wishes to tell me now.

"It's about your brother Mateo", she said and I could feel the cold breeze penetrating my body when she mentioned my lovely brother's name.

What I still don't get is why she is bringing him up now in this conversation, my brother might be dead so am living life forgetting about everything I suffered, the pains.

" Why bringing up my brother, am feeling sleepy already, let's go back to sleep please", I said to her.

"Your brother Mateo is back, those are the rumors I keep on hearing from the people" she added.

"Mateo is alive and you are hearing it from rumors, just about the same way we heard about the humans we haven't see, Rebecca am going to sleep, lastly if ny brother is alive, he will search for me".

I said all this to her before heading back to continue my sleep but thought about what she said,I also really wish the rumour to be true.

Still sleeping deep when I heard the sound of my brother voice calling my name," Nora, wake up".

I managed to open my eyes gradually but my vision wasn't clear enough,I thought I saw Mateo.

I finally opened ny eyes but it was Rebecca,"Is good you are up,I will be leaving to get some stuff, just want you to be careful,in case you are taking a walk alone, they might have stopped the war for now, no one knows their next move", she said to me and I nodded before she took her leave.

I was excited within my self, am seeing Lorenzo soon,I have missed him a lot.

Heading to the pack I wrote to Lorenzo, I caught his smell when he hugged me from behind and started kissing me like I will never return back to him again.

"How are have you been, I was a bit worried about you, thank goodness you sent me that note to meet with you", he said

" Have been fine,still keeping us together as a secret from my best friend Rebecca, just for her to be protected."i replied him.

We talked about few things before he asked me how I am a hybrid of been a lycan and at the same time a witch, he also wanted to know why am protecting Rebecca at all means.

His my mate and I can't hide anything from him so I said," My father never knew I will grow up to be a weak lycan,only my brother was aware that am a witch, he vowed to protect me,so I had to ask him the same question you just asked me".

I took a break before I continued my statements looking at his curious eyes.

"When my mother was pregnant, she had some issues and seek a witch secretly without telling anyone but went with my brother,I was almost dead in her womb but the witch touched her stomach, said some magical words to revive me but she never knew half of her powers rested on me making my wolf side so weak", I said to him.

" Nora you are ny luna,and it's the duty of the alpha to protect his Luna with all his life", he said with full assurance .

I smiled genuinely at his statement then I continued.

"I love Rebecca so much for she was the one that saved me from death when I got separated from my family during a war", I almost told him the attack was carried by his father but I don't wish to make him feel sorry for me so I just told him that way.

He was about to say something when I silenced him saying," Enough of my past my love,let's talk about the present okay"

He totally agreed,then I smelt another wolf present so he told me not to be scared that he wanted his best friend to meet me his mate,I wasn't cool with the idea but using the word best friend,I know his to be trusted and am saved.

He came in and Lorenzo said, "Meet Santiago my trusted friend, meet my love Nora", he said and we just greeted ourselves.

He complemented how beautiful I am and I smiled about it and appreciated him but someone was already jealousy about the whole thing.

I notice Santiago, told him something in his ears before he said to me," I need to meet up with my father now, do send a note like that next time for us to meet okay?". He said.

"Sure I will".

I was super excited when he told me he loves me, kissed me and told me to get back safe before he leaves with Santiago.

Lorenzo

I could not bring myself to tell her what Santiago just told me, my father accepted the letter from The Beta for me to do the combat with him.

I don't want her to be worried about it so I just decided to keep it to myself and tell her the good news later after I won.

Father wants me to come with Santiago to the secret meeting with the Beta Mateo and his father to fix the day and all wolves will be present to witness it too.

I made sure Nora went back safe before I left with Santiago to see father.
