Second Marriage novel Chapter 219

His sharp eyes were like looking at a thief, which made Charlotte anger and bit his lower lip.

“Who said you stole it?”

Kennedy voice was clam but it made her feel uncomfortable. Charlotte clenched fist, “What do you mean?”

Kennedy found the button on the button was gone.

After that night being with the woman, he found a button of his suit was missing, he did not care about it, but he would wear it anymore, so he put it away instead of throwing it away.

Today he accidentally found that the buttons on the top have been removed.

He thought it again and felt Charlotte would not do that, but who would do that except her?

Then, Kennedy had the thought that it might in the hand of the woman that night?

“Nothing.” Kennedy replied in a cold voice, frowning. “Haven’t you really touched my wardrobe?”

Charlotte, “...What did you miss? What are you trying to say, go to the point?”

He still kept silent. Charlotte nodded, “I will talk to you later. Diana is to visit Reynold, so I gotta go.”

With that, Charlotte turned around and went out directly.

After she left, Kennedy turned over the suit in the hand and stared at the spots where the buttons should be.

One was lost. Where were the other two?

Charlotte went downstairs to open the door. When she passed by the living room, she saw Manfred sitting on the sofa. He was on the phone. Suddenly he seemed to have sensed something and looked toward her. Charlotte hurried to leave.

She waited at the door for a while before she saw Diana’s car.

Diana got off, gave the keys to the butler to park the car, and then walked into the house with Charlotte, carrying a lot of things.

“Charlotte, it is good to have you picked me up. I thought you are angry with me, so I did not come to you. Will you mind?” Diana asked softly as she entered the door.

Charlotte did not care about it and she just wanted to calm down in these days, so she shook her head, “Never mind, go in. By the way, Reynold is out and may be back later.”

“It doesn’t matter.” Diana rubbed her cheek with a smile, “I come here for you and look in Reynold.”

Hearing that, Charlotte felt warm in heart.

“Thank you, Diana.”

“Well, let’s go in.”

Charlotte helped her carry things. As they walked in, they met Manfred, and Diana was very enthusiastic seeing him.

“Manfred.”

“Come and play?” Manfred took a book in hands, looking at them with a smile. And then his eyes fixed on Charlotte’s face. Seeing that Charlotte had been avoiding his line of sight, his eyes became dark.
