Second Marriage novel Chapter 243

Charlotte came to her senses and held on to the cabinet beside her, trying to calm herself down.

"I'm fine."

"But you don't look very well. Shall I make a call for you?"

Charlotte didn't answer. She took a deep breath and calmed her mood. After a while, she looked up and smiled at the sales with a far-fetched smile.

After that, Charlotte left the jewelry store in the worried eyes of the sales.

All the way, Charlotte walked aimlessly forward. She did not know what was in front of her.

Before coming to this jewelry store, she had been trying to comfort herself, convince herself, that pair of earrings was just the same style, otherwise it would not be so coincidental to hang up Diana's ear.

She even dared not to ask for proof, but she still came. After getting the results, she found that she could not accept it.

He said he had a meeting, so he asked Nathan to send her home. But he left the meeting room and did not come back home for a night. And today Diana was wearing the pair of earrings appeared in front of her.

What did that mean?

Charlotte stopped walking --

That meant they were together yesterday, all day and all night.

‘Charlotte, you had been waiting for him for a whole night, are you a fool?’

‘You were worried about Kennedy and even called Nathan.’

Nathan wanted to tell her about this, right? No wonder he looked at her with such pity in his eyes!

Only she was kept in the dark.

"Liar." Charlotte scolded in a low voice and stumbled forward.

Bang!

Accidentally she bumped into someone's arms.

"Walk without eyes? Would you believe me to kill you? Get out of here."

Someone walked away from her, swearing. Charlotte didn't see who it was, nor did she apologize.

She staggered on, bumped into another after a few steps, but this time she had bad luck and knocked herself down and sat on the cold, hard floor.

"What's wrong with you? Why did you bump into me? What are you doing sitting there? You're not trying to cheat me of money, are you?" The man left quickly, fearing that she might blackmail him.

She sat on the floor for some time and tried to get up, but found that she had no strength in her body.

Charlotte became very angry, but it was a trivial matter. Was it worth letting her so out of her mind?

‘Charlotte, you could stand up when your parents were cruelly pushing you out, when you divorced Aldrich, and you can still stand up now...’

She pushed the floor hard to get up, but a pair of warm hands suddenly caught her arms and helped her to her feet.

In hazy, Charlotte saw a tall and thin figure standing in the front of her.

He stretched out his hand and dabbed at the corner of her eyes, and then her tears gushed out. Her hazy eyes gradually became clear. Charlotte saw clearly the person who was wiping her tears.

Manfred looked at her with pity, wiped her tears from her eyes gently and helplessly sighed.

“Silly girl, he can't see you crying like this.”
