Sweet Wife in Hidden Marriage novel Chapter 45

The charity dinner was about to begin, but Lillian walked out alone. This was a private club for the host of the charity dinner. It was fully equipped with leisure and entertainment, business gatherings, fitness and beauty, and catering services.

She felt that the room was sweltering. The air-conditioning in the room was functioning well, but she still felt oppressed, and the heat surged from her body.

Lillian was walking by the swimming pool, and the cool water made her want to jump in.

She didn't understand what was going on, it seemed that someone had lit a fire in her body, and the flames went up, making her mouth dry. Even the clothes on her body became a kind of restraint, and she wanted to rip it open.

She was a little stumbling, and she felt like she was about to fall when she walked by the pool, but she was just pulling her neckline. She touched her cheeks which was amazingly hot.

What happened to her? Was it because of the wine just now?

What she drank was red wine, then someone sent the fruit wine, and then the navy-blue wine that Benedict gave her.

Benedict? Is there anything wrong with his wine?

A strong heat wave hit her, and she staggered. This time she was really about to fall into the pool and took a good dip. Her slender waist was embraced by strong arms, and she was caught in a man’s chest.

"Lillian, even if you take things too hard, you don't have to jump into the pool." A slightly joking remark came into her ears.

When Lillian turned around, she saw Benedict with a ruffian smile. He had the fragrance of men’s perfume. She didn’t understand. She obviously didn’t have any favorable impression for him, but she leaned into him uncontrollably. There seemed to be something that was bewitching her, and she involuntarily clung to him.

The scent of the perfume was even more intense when her nose rubbed his clothes. It was an unfamiliar smell. She suddenly came to her sense. She pushed him away for a moment, and muttered hoarsely, "Archibald…"

It was impossible for Benedict, who hugged her, not to notice the heat in her. Her face was completely red, not drunk red but strangely red, as if she had been burned by fire.

She would push him away coldly, and thank him politely, and then left just now. Now, she wanted to push him away, but she clung to him, her eyes had no focus. She was struggling to get rid of him, but something controlled her.

Benedict immediately understood what was wrong with her. Someone drugged her. He frowned and became serious, but when he heard her calling out Archibald's name, he felt angry inexplicably. He looked at her with mixed feelings and he held her tighter.

Lillian buried her head in his shoulders, and she couldn't help groaning. She felt hot, as if she had been thrown into a furnace.

She rubbed her face against his, trying to cool down.

She pressed her hot face on him, Benedict felt as if he had been burned, and he trembled. He was breathing quickly, and he didn’t seem to have control of himself. He directly picked up the woman and went to the guest room.

Archibald finally finished his greetings, and the charity dinner was about to begin. He turned around to look for Lillian, he scanned the crowd, and he didn't find her. He frowned. Where did she go?
