The CEO's Return (Tracy and Alex) novel Chapter 28

Tracy

I could feel the effect of Alex's words everywhere in my body, I couldn't get it out of my head and I was lost in it not even trying to get it out of my head.

If I had not listened and continued kissing him would we be making our third child? Is he willing to do that with me? Is this the way I'd continue giving in to him?, Does he think I'm a pushover, what would baby three look like? what if we end up making two babies instead of one?.

Different thoughts were running through my head as I started feeding Alex

"Tracy, are you okay?" Alex asked making me snap out of my thoughts

"Oh, I'm good."

"You seemed very distant, where you just lost in thought? or I did something wrong"

"Oh nothing, nothing wrong," I said blushing because of the direction of my thoughts.

I fed him the porridge and gave him the fruits, I gave him his medicines too, then helped him lie down, he slept off a few minutes after.

The next three weeks in the hospital was just normal, for those two weeks the kids were taken care of by my grandparents ents, Cole's wife, and Lewis' wife, I pick them after school from whoever's place they are then bring them to the hospital so they can spend time with Alex, then I take them back before dinner.

Alex has improved a lot, his broken hand healed, and his wounds healed too, the doctor cleared him earlier and we were already packing to leave already so I didn't bother to bring the kids to the hospital today.

"Make sure he uses his drugs and let him rest well." The doctor said as he handed Alex's drug to me

"Thank you."

"No, thank you for being strong and making it easier for us to do our job." He replied and I smiled

"Get well soon, Mr. Johnson." He said and Alex nodded, he left the room and I continued packing

"So, are we going home or are we going home?." Alex asked

"I don't get."

"You guys are going home with me right?" He asked and I nodded, I was a bit reluctant because I've not discussed moving in with Alex with my family, they've all came to visit him in the hospitality, of course, even Cole and Lewis, but then I've not been able to discuss it with them, I've decided to discuss it with them today.

"So how are we moving?" Alex asked as he put on his shoes.

"I'd drop you first, then go to my parents to pick Micheal and Michelle."

"Why can't I just go with you and we'd pick them together."

"I don't think the doctor would be happy to admit you again when you are just leaving the hospital," I said and watched him process what I said.

"Oh, I get it now." He said as it dawned on him.

Finally, we were ready to leave the hospital.

"The car key," I said and Alex handed me his car key.

"Are you okay?." I asked seeing how he walked

"Nothing much, just that some part of my body hurts."

"Sorry," I said as we walked to where I parked his car.

I drove him home and I made sure he was comfortable before I went to my parent's house.

The kids were very happy to see me, I was happy to see them too.

"Mummy!" They called and I hugged and kissed their cheek.

"How are you doing my babies, what did you do today?" I asked seeing how excited they are.

"We painted!" They said and I chuckled

"Grandpa said we can paint whatever we want," Michael said

"Really?"

"Yes, he gave us paintbrushes, we used it," Michelle said as she went to bring her painting, Micheal followed her too

"Good evening mum, good evening dad." I greeted my parents sitting on the sofa beside my mum

"Good evening my Love." My mum said while my dad just waved.

"You didn't come to pick the kids today." My mum said and I nodded.

"Yeah, Alex has been discharged."

"Oh thank God."

"How is he feeling?" My dad asked

"Better, I came to pick the kids and also tell you something."

"And that is?" My dad asked giving me a weird look.

"Yeah, so I decided, we are moving in with Alex," I said waiting for them to give a thousand reasons why I should not move in with me, but surprisingly they didn't, they were cool about it.

"Oh, I see." My dad said

"Have you packed yet?" My mum asked, I stared at them for a full minute to be sure that they are my parents.

"What?" They both asked

"Wait, just like that? You are not going to say anything about it? You are not going to tell me not to move in with him?." I asked still surprised.

"Tracy if moving in with him is what you want to do then you have our full blessing, you are not a baby and I'm sure you know what you want, so we support and respect your decision." My mum said

"What your mother said." My dad said, for the first time my parents made me feel like an adult in terms of decision making, they've always had something to say but today they are so calm about it that I feel like I am dreaming.

"Thank you."

"No water work please, be a happy baby." My dad said and I chuckled.

Michael and Michelle showed me their paintings, then I drove them home so that we can pack our clothes and some other things.

"Where is daddy?" Michelle asked

"Yes, where is daddy?" Michael asked too and I smiled, little traitors, they've barely known their father for over a month and they are already very fond of him.

"Daddy is fine, we are going to meet him once we finish packing, so help mummy so that we would finish faster," I replied and of course, they helped me.

When we finished packing, I put everything in the car and I drove us home, yes our home, everything felt so right.
