The Moon and The Ocean novel Chapter 38

OCEAN'S POV:-

I opened my eyes again and found myself lying near to the lake. I went to the lake and looked at my reflection. I could see Vixen in the water. She had a satisfied smile on her face. Seeing her smiling carelessly, I also smiled and sat on the ground. She came out of the water and laid on the ground beside me. I rested my head on her back and started patting her. Her white fur was so soft for my palms. I hugged her like I was hugging my sister.

Vivian: Perhaps, she is your sister, my dear Ocean.

I heard my mother's voice and quickly turned around. As my eyes fell on her, I stood up and ran towards her. I jumped on her and hugged her tightly. She giggled and rubbed my back lovingly.

Ocean: You have no idea. I was dying to meet you. I have had the most horrible nightmare of my life, mama.

I replied to her while sobbing quietly.

Vivian: Shh… I know everything. Whatever you have seen, it was for your own good. Now that you have told everything to Alpha Zeus, he will find a way out. He will save your Moon.

She cooed me and kept rubbing my back.

Ocean: I know, he has been around you. Has he hurt you? What does he want from you? I'm talking about my father.

I asked her in a worried tone. She broke the hug and took me near the lake. We both sat down on the ground and I hugged her tightly.

Vivian: He wants what you both have. You have to promise me that you will never give up. You are his strength. Moon only depends upon you. You have to be with him till this all will end. Promise me, you will never leave him alone.

She asked me and I nodded my head.

Ocean: I will never. I promise, I will be with him till the last breath I will take. But you have to promise me something as well. You have to promise me that you will take care of yourself and will call us if he would come to hurt you.

I asked her and she also tightened her hold around me.

Vivian: I promise my dear. I will call you if he would come to hurt me.

She promised back and I sighed in relief. She then stood up and went away. I again hugged Vixen again.

Ocean: How is it possible? How come we survived our full moon that easily. And that too our first full moon.

I asked Vixen in a curious tone. She wrapped her tail around my neck as if she was protecting me from cold. Her warm fur helped me survive the chilly weather.

Vixen: Our bond is powerful and the lust between us and our mate was greater than the blood lust all the wolves feel on the full moon. His passion became our shield and it protected us from leashing out. Or hurt our mate like a newly born wolf. We might have met each other a bit late but we have been together ever since our birth.
