The Peremptory Casey Davies novel Chapter 45

When Hunter heard Casey's answer, he was mad at once. He really wanted to kick Casey in the ass.

He even suspected that there was something wrong with Casey’s brain. This guy not only said that he had low EQ, but also said that his brain and eyes malfunction. Anyone would be infuriated by his words.

“You are the one whose brain malfunctions. Why would you curse others like this.” Diana argued for Hunter.

"Oh." Casey only responded with one word.

Diana was also infuriated by Casey.

Edith looked at the fearless Casey and smiled with her mouth covered. He wasn’t like this normally, but he acted this way to avoid Hunter’s humiliation.

"Forget it. It’s not a big deal, let’s eat and be happy.” Hunter pretended to comfort generously.

“Look at you Casey, I really don't understand why Edith keeps you with her." Diana muttered.

They finally started to eat. Casey did not reserve, since Hunter would pay the bill, he must eat as much as he could.

Edith held the same attitude as Casey. She didn't like Hunter either, otherwise she would have already accepted to be Hunter’s girlfriend when she was in college. So all she could do now was to eat as much as she could.

Otherwise, wouldn't it be a waste of time?

When they almost finished, Hunter took out the package with the watch that he prepared for Edith.

As soon as Casey saw the package, he immediately understood what Hunter wanted to do.

Casey also wanted to give Edith a watch. Of course he couldn't let Hunter get ahead.

As a result, before Hunter had the chance to speak anything, Cassey looked at Edith and said sweetly, “My dear, I have prepared a present for you today."

Edith was dazed. She didn't expect Casey to say this right now.

Hunter heard what Casey said, so he decided to wait first and put his package back.

"What gift?" Edith asked curiously.

"A watch." Casey answered.

Hunter couldn’t hold back his laughter, thinking that this man was so unfortunate to choose the same present as his.

What Hunter prepared for Edith was also a watch. Judging from Casey’s financial state, what he could purchase was simply a cheap one. Maybe it was even a second-hand product that was abandoned by others.

Hunter planned to give his Cartier blue balloon that was worth more than 40,000 yuan to Edith after Casey had shown his cheap one. Under such a stark comparison, Edith should know who to choose.

Hunter felt that Casey really helped show off his superiority, so he didn't worry anymore. He just needed to wait for Casey and tell Edith his feelings for her.

When Diana heard that Casey wanted to give Edith a watch, she asked contemptuously, “Isn't your money given by Edith? What can you give her? I recommend you not to embarrass yourself anymore."

Casey ignored Diana's words and directly took out the watch that Charles gave him.

Diana glanced at the couple watch, and said, "It looks good, you probably bought it after visiting a lot of stalls. No wonder you dare to take it out on this occasion."

She didn't know Vacheron Constantin, so she didn't realize the watch was worth 380,000 yuan.

Diana didn't know the price of the watch, but that Hunter did. When he saw the trademark of Vacheron Constantin, he felt his heart trembled.

He knew how expensive this brand of watch was. His Cartier was not at the same level compared with the Vacheron Constantin.

The two watches of Casey cost more than one hundred thousand yuan, which was enough money to buy several Cartier.

It should be a fake one, how could this guy afford such an expensive watch. Hunter thought.

Casey opened the package that contained the watch, then took it out, asking Edith to stretch out her hand.

Edith’s eyes sparkled when she saw the exquisite configuration of the Vacheron Constantin watch. Only by looking at its contour, she already knew that this watch was definitely not cheap.

Hunter took a cold breath after seeing the watch. The box ccould be counterfeit, but the Vacheron Constantin watch was not so easy to be counterfeited.

The first time he caught sight of the watch, he was pretty sure that it was real.

Hunter subconsciously touched the Cartier in his pocket, and suddenly felt extremely embarrassed in his heart.

He originally planned to wait for Casey to take out his cheap watch first, but then Casey took out his golden watch.

Now if he took out his, it would be even more embarrassing.

"Damn, where did this bastard get such an expensive watch? He certainly didn't buy it himself, maybe he stole it from the store."

Even if the watch Casey had was real, Hunter would never believe that Casey bought it himself.

Casey put the watch on Edith’s wrist. Edith loved it so much that she looked at it carefully for several times.

Casey put the other one on his wrist, so that the two now had the first thing that belonged to both of them.

"Do you like it?" Casey asked.

Edith nodded and asked, "This watch is expensive. How much does it cost you?"

"Not much." Casey answered with a smile.

Seeing that Casey didn't dare to tell the price of this watch, Hunter was more confident that Casey stole this watch from the store, and looked down upon him even more.

It was really shameful to give someone a stolen watch.

Although Hunter despised Casey in his heart, he was too embarrassed to take out his watch at this time.

"Edith, this is probably the first time that Casey has given you a present since you two married. And it was so miserable that he bought it from the street stall. Look at Hunter, he has already become the manager of the C.S. branch Company at such a young age. He will definitely not buy anything from a street stall if he gives you a present." Diana said.

Hunter was even more proud of himself. Since he failed to give Edith the watch as a present, then he could only show off his superiority in his job.

"It's nothing, my job is..." Hunter began to talk without stopping. Diana listened earnestly and felt very envious at the same time.

Meanwhile, she kept using Casey as comparison in order to show how good Hunter is, thinking that Edith might consider Hunter.

Casey felt annoyed by this Hunter, so he texted Charles, "Call the person named Hunter Powell and ask him to drink tea with you."

“I usually have lots of free time, and since I am the manager of the company, no one can give me orders. Just like today, even if I am absent and be with you guys, nobody will say anything."

As soon as Hunter finished talking, his phone rang. It was the president of the company, so he quickly picked it up.

"Hunter, I heard that you didn’t go to the company? Why don’t you come and have a tea with me since you have so much free time."

The voice of the phone was loud enough for both Diana and Edith to overhear the entire conversation.
