You Are My Mr Wright novel Chapter 74

With a faint smile, she raised her chin and reminded him, "As you said, this marriage is just a deal and each of us takes what we need. Since I have no right to ask about your private affairs, you naturally have no right to ask me, right?"

Beau Wright slowly narrowed his eyes and looked at her coldly. His eyes were as cold as ice, enough to freeze people to death.

"Don't you think what I said is reasonable?" She wasn't scared of him, only asking in reply.

"You are trying to seduce others outside, and you want me to pretend that I didn't see this. Do you think I am blind?" He said in a deep voice.

Harriet Smith said slowly, "I am also a living person, not a decoration, aren't I?"

A white smoke ring came out, making his eyes half-closed. His voice was low and deep, with a hint of warning. "If you want to keep the baby, don't try to provoke my bottom line..."

The smell of smoke made Harriet Smith want to weep. She unconsciously clenched her fists and sneered. "Since you threatened me with baby, how can I not understand?"

His eyes became sharp, and his expression immediately became even colder. He fiercely sucked in a puff of smoke.

The atmosphere became even tenser...

She lowered her head and looked at her shoes, lost in thought.

Why was she testing him again?

Obviously, he loved Mary, and she was just a transaction item.

But every deal had its purpose, such as keeping the baby. What about him?

Even though she knew that she shouldn't have asked, she still raised her head and asked, "What on earth do you want behind such a deal? Do you just want to find a woman to marry, or really love me, or is there something more to it?"

He exhaled a whiff of smoke and narrowed his eyes without saying anything.

After a pause, Harriet Smith laughed at herself and said, "Well, I know. I won't ask again."

There was no need to ask. She knew that he couldn't answer, and she didn't have to get the result. Was it interesting to provoke him again?

He was not someone she could provoke, wasn't he?

Hearing this, he became more and more annoyed. He threw the cigarette butt in his hand on the ground, lifted his foot, and stepped on it, which was still shining in the night sky. He said, "Back to House of Wright..."

As the night breeze blew, Harriet Smith's hair fluttered gently. She said, "Okay."

Anyway, she had stayed at home for four or five days. It would be the New Year in two or three days. It was acceptable to go to the House of Wright.

She had to go back. It was just a matter of time. Since he had come to pick her up, she would take another ride...

It was already 12 a.m. Lainey Brown had already taken a nap and was drinking water in the kitchen.

When she heard the sound of footsteps, she walked out and saw Harriet Smith coming in. She looked unhappy and asked, "Why did you come back so late?"

She didn't expect that Lainey Brown had not yet fallen asleep. She stopped, called her softly, and then explained, " I went to the classmate reunion."

After putting down the glass, Lainey Brown looked serious and aggressive. "You're married now, but you always go home at midnight. Why?"

At this time, Beau Wright, who had parked the car, came in, put his arm around her shoulder, and said to Lainey Brown.
