Loveless Marriage novel Chapter 146

"Got it. Do I even need you to teach me how to raise a kid? Hurry up and go to work. Be careful on the way. "

"... Oh, okay. Bye."

Inside the elevator, Isabella habitually pressed the button for the B1 floor. Then as if she'd thought of something, she pressed the first floor with a serious expression.

The elevator stopped on the first floor. She carried her bag, and her delicate face was expressionless. Then she walked straight out of the apartment building.

Just as she was about to stop a taxi at an intersection, a black car stopped in front of her.

Isabella frowned but didn't care about it so much. Suddenly, the car door opened, and she saw a familiar face.

"Miss Jones."

Isabella raised her head, just to see the tall man in front of her. Her face immediately changed, "Canon? Why are you..."

Then she remembered Christian's words from last night, and asked with a heavy voice, "Did he ask you to come?"

Canon respectfully nodded his head, "Yes, Mr. Miller lets me send you to work."

Isabella rejected him flatly, "No need at all. I can do it myself. You go back now."

She thought he had taken her words in last night, but it turned out she was like cast pearls before swine.

For the sake of her child, she'd decided not to drive to work. But if she woke up early, she'd have enough time to get a taxi or catch a bus. There was really no need to have someone send her to work.

Canon's tall and straight body blocked her way, then said indifferently: "Mr. Miller hired me to do this, Miss Jones, so this is my job. I cannot listen to you. if you are unwilling, you can call Mr. Miller to order me back."

"You!" Isabella was so angry that her face turned purple.

Isabella clenched her fist. Not wanting to waste time with him, she quickly took out her phone and dialled a number.

The phone connected after a few seconds.

"Hello, I am Steven. Mr. Miller is in a meeting right now. if you have anything you want to say, you can tell me or call later."

"…"
